Actually very few in China wore masks before the virus, pretty much the same for Japan and Korea. Some places like Taiwan had much higher rates of mask usage before the virus, but that was due to the pollution from all of their scooters...not fear of diseases.
Bottom line - I have no idea what this clown is talking about.
If this does not stop, humans will have no herd immunity to ANY infectious diseases - especially the respiratory diseases, which mutate into a new virus at least once a year.

Masks are not going away for years. Even if not mandated, some of the scaredy babies will wear them, you know the folks that drive alone in their car with a mask on.
And some business owners will encourage masks. Look at China and how masks are part of daily life there. It’s here, it’s not going away.
