Bipartisan defense bill includes SEVERAL rebukes of Trump’s record as commander in chief
Washington Post ^ | Dec 3, 2020

Posted on 12/03/2020 7:25:15 PM PST by 11th_VA

... Topping the list is a prohibition on reducing the number of troops stationed in Germany and South Korea below current levels unless Congress receives certain guarantees that it is strategically safe ...

... The final bill does not mention the piece of law regarding Silicon Valley, and instructs the Defense Department to change the names of the Confederate-titled installations within three years...

... several provisions of the 4,500-plus-page bipartisan bill suggest that GOP lawmakers have had complaints to get off their chests about more of Trump’s actions — and want to ensure no future president repeats them...

... The defense bill directs the president within 30 days to impose sanctions against Turkey for its purchase of S-400 missile systems from Russia ...

... The bill also takes indirect issue with the president’s statements about forces deployed to Syria, with a provision insisting the Pentagon certify that no U.S. forces “are being used or have been used for the extraction ...

... It limits the amount of military construction funding that can be diverted to domestic projects via a national emergency order to an annual $100 million — a far cry from the $3.6 billion Trump attempted to divert to his border wall ...

It also prohibits the Pentagon from transferring certain weapons of war to state and local law enforcement agencies, an apparent response to complaints about the militarization of police forces. The list of items that cannot be transferred from military to police includes bayonets, weaponized tracked combat vehicles, weaponized drones, and most grenades with the exception of stun and flash-bang grenades...

Yeah - I think Trump is going to veto this - they’ll need 18 Pubbies to override the veto - I wonder if they have that ... and how many are up for election in 2022 ...

“Rebuking’ 75 million voters seems very inconsistent with representative government.

Trump doubled down on his veto threat today:

Donald J. Trump<€ @realDonaldTrump

Looks like certain Republican Senators are getting cold feet with respect to the termination of Big Tech’s Section 230, a National Security and Election Integrity MUST. For years, all talk, no action. Termination must be put in Defense Bill!!!

The Neo-Con influence is still strong in the GOP. But let’s be honest, there is a faction of our party that worships the military. They get more excited about the Dept. of Defense buying a next generation submarine than they do seeing Real Incomes and Labor Force Participation Rates increase. Hugh Hewitt is the perfect example. The guy is far more likely to talk about the Stock Market than brining manufacturing jobs back to US soil.

Not bipartisan... Unipartisan.

Also, I heard on the radio news this morning that Trump agreed to let them abolish any Confederate related names from the military, as part of this bill.

Hopefully that was fake news.

Another bill McConnell made sure did not get on the calendar before the election. Had it been voted on before the election, the GOP might not be as close as it is now to holding the Senate.

Communists from both parties are just flexing their muscles...

This is just some of what is in store after inauguration for the new United Soviet States of America...

If the communist coup succeeds (which is increasingly likely), Biden will be found incompetent (by the communists themselves) within the first week after inauguration and Harris will be sworn in (most likely on her knees)...

Pelousy will ascend to VP and the purge will start...

Based on communist history, a reasonable extrapolation (if they win the election) would be a strategy that has been used throughout their history... (Only the names are changed):

Step #1: Get JB elected by any means necessary;

Step #2: Two days after inauguration remove him for dementia;

Step #3: Swear V.P. or pelousy into office;

Step #4: Shut down all wall construction, open the boarders, and grant amnesty to 40-million illegal migrants;

Step #5: Appoint obunghole & 3 or 4 others to the expanded SCOTUS who would quickly rule the entire Constitution unconstitutional;

Step #6: Ban all sales of guns & ammo;

Step #7: Buy back or confiscate all guns and ammo;

Step #8: Indict, try, convict, and lock Trump family up in Guantanamo, Thailand, Libya, or mental institutions;

Step #9: Start the most complete communist purge in history(AOC already announced plans for the burning/ovens...);

Step #10: Remove time limit on holding office of President;

Step #11: Ban all travel across state lines without proper papers;

Step #12: Celebrate about one thousand years of peace & prosperity (For the apparatchiks...)
