The Washpost firmly believes that the law-abiding should not have the death penalty as a tool, only the criminals.
The Greem River killer was almost released from prison because of “Covid fears”. He plea bargained for live in prison (instead of the death penalty) and Leftists see that as an opportunity to release such offenders back on the streets.
Even in prison criminals can still kills. Ask Whitey Bulger. Oh wait, you can’t. Because some crooked officers spilled detail to mob connected assassins.
The only way to be sure they don’t offend again is to give them the death penalty.
