In my Norcal neighborhood people trade quart jars of buds, or give them away like summer tomatoes.

The home grower has alway been my major issue with the idea of controlling a substance that anyone with dirt can grow in their own home.

Cannabis is a plant that grows wild in almost every state in the union, maybe all.

How does government expect to control its cultivation?

Such control is inevitably going to be arbitrary.

Growing good pot is a pain in the ass.

The plants are sensitive. They need a lot of attention.

I am not debating whether or not it should be legal. But if you do it right, it’s not a “weed.” Ha ha.

Actually voted for a recent bill to legalize pot. Never in my life would I have ever thought I’d do that. the reason - it allowed for the home cultivation of a small number of plants.

Figured it would screw the cartels, the commercial dealers and the tax man - all a good thing.

Might as well let people learn the error of their ways as fast as possible.
