At least two people were killed and several others injured Tuesday when a car plowed into pedestrians in the southwestern German city of Trier, according to reports.
The 51-year-old driver from the area was arrested and the car was impounded after it slammed into the crowd in the pedestrian zone in the city, located about 120 miles west of Frankfurt, police said.
Mayor Wolfram Leibe told the SWR broadcaster that the driver had gone on “a rampage,” saying that in addition to the two fatalities, 15 people had suffered serious injuries.
According to local reports, the car was driven “at speed” from the city’s Porta Nigra gate, according to the UK’s Express.

Gone on a rampage.
I don’t see any clear references to sudden jihadi syndrome.
Maybe he doesn’t like these cans.
This is terrible. Who did this? Well, skip down to the very last line of the story for a hint...talk about burying the lead. Maybe it was a little old lady sliding in the snow? Europe is finished if they don’t open their eyes.
The info in the last sentence belongs in the Headline. That it’s buried indicates it might have been added late, an afterthought and of little significance, when the precise opposite is as obvious as a terrorist screaming Allahu Anbar!
This is off the subject but didn’t know where else to post. Since this has to do with Germany it was the closest.
Has anyone heard the rumor Gina Haspel was killed in Frankfurt during the raid on the servers defending the CIA from forces getting the servers? Sounds weird and I don’t believe it
Just some wild Menonite, I suppose.
Heard she was there, was wounded, taken to GITMO on a ‘rendition’ flight and was subsequently persuaded to cooperate with Trump election defense team. Source validity unknown and/or suspect.
