My wife was watching news, and a news blub was saying there have been 11 men in a city near me assaulted with a baseball bat or a pipe, and in the news media, the attacks are labeled as “random”.
I asked her about the victims, and she said they were all men, and all white or hispanic.
When I hear that, “random” is not a word I would use. I would use “targeted”. And the video of the suspect shows someone with a hoodie and pants nearly falling off as he runs away.
“Random” my ass.
Remember Chief Moose and the beltway sniper shootings back in 2001-2002? They were sure it was a 50 something white guy in a panel van.
