Our brother and his wife are teachers, and there is no teaching going on right now. ....That’s OK. They get their paycheck to pay their Union dues. Sheesh, priorities you know.
Same here. My brother and his wife as well. Both hardcore Democrats, the Bernie flavor. My brother loves to remind me how thankful I should be that my kids here in Virginia aren't going to school. "It's just much safer!" He tells me. He's terrified of COVID.
Meanwhile, my 9-year old son is doing horribly. He can't concentrate. The little Chromebook the school gave him strains his eyes. Anticipating no school for the rest of the year, Santa will be bringing him and his 6th grade brother full-size Gaming PCs with 24" screens for Christmas, for play and schoolwork. His older brother is doing much better in virtual learning.
These kids need to be in class. "Follow the science!" they tell us. Except the science says the kids need to be in class and that COVID is a minimal risk to school-aged children. Then it becomes, "We're beholden to the teacher's unions!"
Parents are losing their patience with this.
What they're doing to kids is an absolute disgrace. I'm fortunate that my wife is a stay at home mom to our four children and during this fake scamdemic, they've had each other to play with. I feel for all the only children out there with nobody to spend any time with.
