Actually, I disagree with your assessment. The real issue with Fauci’s claim isn’t a lack of substantiation or scientific basis. The real issue is “so what”? All of Fauci’s claim may be correct and not matter one whit. What matters is can we do anything about the virus and the answer to that is no. What also matters is whether the virus is a realistic health risk and the answer to that is if one considers the fatality rate, that answer must be ‘no’.

I agree with your third ultimate conclusion but the fact is that it has never been scientifically proven in any study that I am aware of that someone could develop symptoms two weeks after being initially infected with COVID nor that asymptomatic people can spread the virus. The asymptomatic claim is a psychological way of manipulating people to obey unscientific methods of prevention (wear masks, wear gloves, agree to shutdowns, etc...) that have been proven not to work or at least have no affect one way or the other.
