“Considerable risk”? It is only a risk if there is no consideration put into whatever actions you may undertake.
Turn and face the dragons. In most instances, the “risks” are only phantasmagoria, lanterns casting beams upon the wall to frighten and intimidate the faint of heart.
Good living and a little circumspection of your surroundings goes far in risk mitigation. The virtues of prudence are much underrated.
