I believe the virus is real, it is quite contagious, and it is dangerous especially for the elderly. But the headline bothers me: “Fauci on SCOTUS Ruling on Religious Gatherings: ‘Considerable Risk’ for Coronavirus Spread”.
Don’t all of our freedoms contain ‘considerable risk’ for bad outcomes? And isn’t this the argument that is always used to justify suppressing freedom? I think it was Fauci who said something like ‘Americans need to do what they’re told.’ Sorry, Dr. Fauci, that’s not who Americans are.

Early Pilgrims came across a vast ocean to America in small boats and ventured into a wild wilderness in order to live free from rule by unappointed, unelected overlords. They were not concerned about "risks" to health.
Those brave individuals were concerned about risks to their Creator-endowed rights to be free to exercise those rights and to "pursue happiness"--each in his or her own way.
