McInerny hasn’t been in the loop in years, plus he’s a talking head on the news circuit, which means whatever he spouts is either designed by himself to promote his fan base, consultantcy, etc., or else he’s a witting or unwitting bullshit injector being fed disinfo for some other purpose.
Those who really know things don’t talk about it, those who talk, don’t know.
A number of people I have worked with in the couple of years, in relevant places I have been, have continued to bring Gen. McInerny into conversation over a number of ic matters.
