What’s the point of these rallies? The people who should be listening, aren’t. Certainly not in Georgia, where the governor and Secretary of State effectively made the votes of their constituents meaningless for...what?
Even Trump was wise enough not to plan his Georgia Rally over this weekend.
The rallies have several purposes:
1. To show support for Trump’s election challenge
2. For those states that have not certified, asking the legislature to investigate the anomalies in the election in their state
3. For those who have certified, to get the legislature to appoint Trump electors instead of Biden electors, or maybe not send electors at all
The state legislators appoint the electors. The Democrats actually encouraged legislatures to replace Trump electors with Hillary electors in 2016. If the legislators in that state determine that the election in their state was faulty, they can decide to send different electors.
This is actually moving forward in Pennsylvania.
