No Judges Confirmed This Week (Senate on Thanksgiving recess)

Posted on 11/28/2020 3:50:02 AM PST by cotton1706

This will be a weekly post.

Count remains at 227 judges confirmed.

3 Trade Court judges

168 District Court judges

53 Circuit Court judges

3 Supreme Court justices

There are currently 30 pending judicial nominations pending (6 on the floor).

7th Circuit nominee Thomas Kirsch has already had a hearing and should be getting a vote to the floor.

1st Circuit nominee Raul Arias Marxuach is due for a hearing.

Another 7th Circuit vacancy opens up Monday.

Also, the Republican caucus goes from 53 to 52 on Monday as Mitch McConnell's handpicked two-time loser appointed senator Martha McSally is succeeded by Gabby Giffords' husband Mark Kelly.

The Senate has all of December to get more judicial nominations confirmed. And if there are any democrat picks as part of some deal, leave them behind.
