FRANKFORT - A federal court has ruled that in-person learning can resume at Kentucky's religious schools.
(Snip)...
Following the ruling, Cameron released the following statement:
"The court prohibited the Governor from enforcing his executive order and unequivocally stated that the Commonwealth's religious schools can resume in-person learning. This is not the first time during this pandemic where religious exercise has been threatened, first with the prohibition on drive-in church services, then in-person worship services, and now in-person instruction at religious schools.
In each of these instances, the courts have affirmed that the freedoms provided by our Constitution are stronger than the fears of the moment and cannot be cast aside by the Governor or any leader....

Stop squakin and sue the living hooey out of them!!!
More important, Cameron's powerful argument applies to a lot more things than COVID-19. It reminded me of a quote from, of all things, Babylon 5:
"There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender."
I should also note that Beshear has appealed the decision:
Northern Kentuckians inflicted Beshear on the state because they didn’t want to pay their fair share of a badly needed new Ohio river bridge.
Bah! Appeals court supported the Governor. My wife (a teacher) is beside herself. Can this go to the Supreme Court?
