The vast majority of democrats and republicans are law-abiding and no, they will not harm others or destroy the property of others
I don't think this is as true as it might have been just a few years ago. The number of anecdotal stories of property destruction by Democrats, neighbors saying they would kill Trump voters, the ascendancy of the "shy" Trump voter, has caused a sea change in politics. "They" know we probably won't hurt them, because we are law-abiding. This gives them great flexibility in doing and saying things that no decent person would do.
Case in point, different election committees are getting death threats and drive bys of their houses, to force them to certify for Biden. But you know that no conservative/Republican would do anything like that. And they know it to, and are trying to capitalize on our perceived weakness.

I think there is a silent majority on both sides. The radicals act out and their power and influence are magnified by the media, big tech, and pretty soon everybody thinks they are a majority.
A committed fringe of any movement can cause massive change and upheaval. Just ask the founding fathers..... :)
