YouTube has barred the right-wing One America News Network from posting new content for a week after it shared a video promoting a fake cure for COVID-19.
The Google-owned social media giant also temporarily blocked OANN - a favorite channel of President Donald Trump - from making money off of existing videos, YouTube spokesperson Ivy Choi said Tuesday.
'After careful review, we removed a video from OANN and issued a strike on the channel for violating our COVID-19 misinformation policy, which prohibits content claiming there's a guaranteed cure,' Choi said in a statement.
She said the video that was taken down claimed that hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malarial drug touted by Trump despite a lack of scientific evidence, could cure COVID-19.
Several Twitter users posted links to a video believed to be the one cited by YouTube, in which a California doctor said he'd 'cured' 1,700 patients with hydroxychloroquine in early October.
That segment appeared to have been removed from OANN's website, but its unclear when.

OANN responded to the suspension by saying it would abide by YouTube’s policies going forward but added that it ‘will not let YouTube’s arbitrary rules infringe upon our First Amendment editorial rights to inform the public’.
Without disclosing details about the video that was removed, OANN said: ‘We believe that the opinions of frontline doctors should be heard, regardless if their views agree or differ from the CDC.
We watched this segment, on OANN, and were thrilled that they were covering/reporting on HCQ (still).
Just can’t have a successful, inexpensive treatment or prophylactic out there, can we?
Keep praying in the Name of Jesus that the evil masked by darkness will be exposed and that the Lord will protect those who are standing for righteousness and the sovereignty of the United States of America.
I asked yesterday, whether they were banned for discussing Hydroxychloroquine.
Turns out, yes they were.
If you have a hydroxychloroquine ping list, I would like to be on it.
Thanks.
Wait until they find out about Ivermectin.
Are there more tolerant or even conservative versions of YouTube? Might be the right time to create a few choices for those with the money and knowledge. I think YouTube is partially owned by Google; one of the biggest censors around.
Amen! Good prayer - thanks!

Yes, try : https://rumble.com/
This is where people are flocking to nowadays.
In Germany the cops are busting in the doors of homes if you are discussing covid 19 remedies online. In this case they raided a doctor’s home. Be prepared - we’re headed in that direction.

OK, you are now one among a dozen on my ping list for Hydroxychloroquine.
That’s good. Get ready to Rumble!
the left are responsible for the vast majority of deaths i n this country because they banned HCQ and falsely claimed it was ‘too dangerous to take’ when in reality aspirin is far more dangerous than HCQ
Try finding how many people have died as a dire t result of HCQ- then look up aspirin- you’ll find all kinds of sites with stats- but I couldn’t find hardly any on HCQ that weren’t obscure-
3000 people on average die of aspirin each year- but again, try finding how many die strictly from HCQ, and NOT from taking HCQ while also battling covid
In all of france, only 4 deaths were thought to be from HCQ- You look up dangerous side effects of HCQ and they state it is ‘very rare’
I can’t find numbers on deaths due strictly to HCQ in folks before the pandemic broke out
Yet Communist Chinese “News” sources are A Ok to YouTube andnregularly turn up in search results. Incredible.
Big Tech tyrrany. smash them.
This kinda reminds me of all the B-17/Laetrile arguments (for cancer) in addition to Mexican treatments, back in the 1970s, much of it brought up by the John Birch Society.
Here in Asia, hydroxy is essentially a non-starter.
are they on Rumble?
Sorry, it was really this link I wanted to send to you. A meta-analysis on the use of hydroxychlorquine to treat COVID-19 infections from the institute where professor Raoult is working:
In all it contains 23 clinical studies on a total of more than 6000 patients, and 14 comparisons on so called big data studies on a total of more than 42000 patients. Also mentioned are 15 studies that are not included and the reasons for not including them (no confirmed diagnosis, risk imbalance between treated and non-treated groups, toxic dosses of HCQ etc).
Their conclusion is that there is a difference between clinical and “big-data” studies, though both show a significant effect of HCQ. The clinical studies show a decrease in mortality of 44% (95% confidence interval: 35 - 52%).
Who are the medical professionals who decides what is correct or not correct on YouTube???
