The results of this race determine if the IA House delegation is 3:1 R:D or 2:2. While the Rs hold a significant advantage in state delegations versus the Ds, 27:19, should the Presidential election go to the House, that extra R vote gives a little bit more of a safety net. It can’t go for the Ds either way, just be R or neutral.

If it hadn’t been for the libertarian and a crappy candidate in David “Milquetoast” Young, we would have won the 3rd district.

Trump should win if it goes to the House. But never count you chickens...

Not to worry. It is based on state delegations not number of House reps. After this election if this went to the House (R)s have 29 state delegations where (R)s hold lower and upper chamber majorities, (D)s have 21. Each State gets 1 vote. (R)s win if it goes to House. No question.
