A former San Francisco police officer is facing manslaughter and weapons charges for allegedly shooting and killing an unarmed man accused of carjacking a state-owned vehicle in the Bayview District in 2017.
San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin made the announcement Monday afternoon, saying this is the first prosecution case against a law enforcement officer in the city's history.

A carjacker speeding on public roads while being chased by the police is a member of the public? Now a young woman walking along the San Francisco waterfront with her father and being gunned down by an illegal alien is a member of the public.
BS - he carjacked someone which means he threatened someone to get out of their car and he took it.
He then sped the car down city streets in excess of the speed limit endangering many lives with his “weapon” (the car)
He had used deadly force and he would do it again.
The cop’s actions are JUSTIFIED here and this DA needs to be dragged out of office and tarred and feathered.

How would the police officer have any knowledge that the perp was unarmed? This has to be good shoot (along with a commendation for taking out the trash).
I stopped reading when I read Chesa Boudin. What a waste of oxygen he is.
