Because there are undigested diamonds lurking around in the crap. Such as the passage excerpted. If you don’t want to learn anything about the Murdoch family, even through a veil of leftsplained half-truths, skip the article. I found it to be a quality piece, stuffed with intriguing detail, even though I had to wade through the standard-issue left-wing polemics heaped on with a trowel.

Besides, Greenwald’s objection wasn’t to what the Intercept published. It was with what the Intercept *wouldn’t* publish - namely the article that gave a pretty good reason why the Bidens should be investigated - by journalists, at the very least - for their fishy financial transactions.
