All cable TV and Network TV is trying to stay relevant in the age of Apple TV, Amazon Prime, Youtube, Netflix, Hulu, etc.
The problem is that many young people do not have cable TV.
They have a high speed internet connection. They may have a digital antenna to get the local channels.
My mom passed away at the age of 92 about a year ago. She never had cable TV or the internet at her house. She went from rabbit ears to a digital antenna. She got her news from the mainstream media. Yet she was a life long conservative.
My 22 year old son moved into his first place in July. He has Comcast Internet but no cable TV. He has a Roku to get on my Netflix account. He does not have a smart TV. To watch TV he does it on his laptop.
I am 57. I watched 90% of the Masters streaming on Masters.com. I watched for less than a half hour on CBS.
So, FOXNEWS very well could go away just like Sears, Kmart, buggy whips, AM radio, 8 tracks, VHS & Beta, CD players(I have 500 CDs), conastoga wagons, flip phones, etc.

I enjoy watching Kelly. One thing about Newsmax that puts it ahead of OAN is that it's free. I'm not sure why OAN feels it can't provide its service through advertising. The thing is, I can't shell out for one more subscription. I'm at my limit, especially with the horrible specter of a Biden presidency on the horizon.

I tried OAN and Newsmax. Both are rather amateurish, Newsmax more than OAN. I decided OAN isn’t worth the money. I have to pay and watch commercials.

Newsmax depends too heavily on the likes of Mark Halperin for its reporting - a movie available on Showtime on-demand called “Trumped: Inside the Greatest Political Upset of All Time” follows Halperin and some other “journalist” on election evening in 2016 as the votes are counted - toward the end as it becomes obvious that Trump has won there is a five second or so closeup shot of Halperin’s face - looking as though he’s about to burst into tears at the thought of Hillary’s loss - all you need to know about the guy - don’t trust a word that comes out of his mouth.......
