Why is Rittenhouse a “idiot”?
Because if he wasn’t an idiot he wouldn’t have been where he was, doing what he did.
Do you think what he did was “smart” for a 17 year old kid? Would you be “proud” if you 17 year old kid took off and ended up shooting people in a riot?
Yeah, you probably would. I think it was not a well thought out plan.
The coffee co. gained notoriety and fame with conservatives for being veterans, and having conservative values which include supporting the 2nd amendment. They used this marketing strategy and really where able to get folks who would have never signed up for monthly coffee subscriptions, to do so.
Then, when someone had to actually USE the 2nd amendment to defend themselves, they folded like a cheap suit.
It comes across as all being just a marketing ploy.
And this surprises you?
I am shocked...more by the reaction of people here being surprised at a company uses marketing tools to gain business.
Next you will be telling me that Exxon’s “green” advertising is bullshit!
Nobody is surprised by legitimate marketing strategies, but when that involves totally recreating who you are out of wholecloth, that does come as a surprise, and I’m glad it does. They told us who they were, and we had no reason to not believe them. This should be how things work. As time goes on, you can look at what they say and do and see if it verifies who they said they were. The merch they sell, pretty much backs up their words. Lots of t shirts using patriotic and personal protection gear on them. Trust but verify. So when they come out of left field when someone has to actually use the 2nd. amendment, that doesn’t look good.
So far their entire marketing strategy has shown AK47 on merch, the Don’t tread on me flags, Bowie knives, Nam helicopters. Had they helped Kyle out, it would have been a boon to their company. You can’t seriously think that they get business from the soi crowd do you?
Because I’ve read the statements directly from BRCC and THEN looked at the political donations of Evan Hafer. It was a horrible PR approach and it will be reflected in their sales.
“You can’t seriously think that they get business from the soi crowd do you?”
Honestly, I think it depends on how good their coffee is?
I find all of these small businesses with the “military” angle to them in terms of their names or logos to be disingenuous.
I believe that the quality of the product sells the product. The quality of logo sells T Shirts.
You could have the coolest logo in the world—but if the coffee sucks, no one will buy a second cup/pound. The best coffee I ever had was from a small coffee shop who sold their stuff in plain brown sacks. They didn’t need a “theme.”
“Idiot” is a bit strong. Naive and foolish or reckless is better and more accurate, IMO.
Fair ‘nuff.
I guess my point is that the Beck guy was linking Kyle to the company. That was not a legit thing to do.
The company gets to choose who “represents” them. And no one would actively “choose” Kyle at this time. It make zero business sense.
Even though KR probably acted in self defense, people’s emotions are running high.
He donated to Tuli and other democratic candidates.
He is a vet, and he is probably pro second, but he is not a conservative.
