Most things they push are things that are kooky and do not work in the end. Remember they push these things for one reason; CONTROL over people. They push hysteria to get masses to willingly hand over their freedom. And a lot of the masses, like a cult, willingly want to do it.

Yes...They demonstrate this perverse desire to control the actions of others. I think that is what is at the root of it. And the people that Follow them are either weak minded or too lazy to think through the ramifications.
