Excuse my ignorance but what does all of this mean? I thought Arizona and Georgia’s certifications were a done deal. I’m so confused. I want something good to come out of this for Trump he worked so hard for the American people....he deserves it but as days go by I don’t know what to think anymore.
I believe neither is a done deal. GA’s most certainly is NOT a done deal. The laws differ from state to state. There is a period in GA after the certification for a contest to be filed. Then another recount would happen. Not sure what that will look like. Might need judicial intervention to get Trump what he wants. However if as much as one single vote changes in that recount, the entire certification is nullified and it will need to be recertified.
Rose, you’ve been gaslit. Have faith in our man. More importantly, have faith in God.
if these states certified, and there’s fraud (which there is), the state officials have broken the law. Certification is meaningless.
you firsttry to work thorugh the processes
but theres more than one level of dealong with this
plus getting organized as more and more evidence comes in is a big task, getting everything in its right place
there’s ultimately going to be one or several scutos cases being brought, and some of the reasons for doing so is the way the states have mishandled their roles in this, before, during and after the elections
and this will vecome evidence to be presented as well
This order of the Supreme Court means only that if a case arises from a particular judicial circuit, then the justice so assigned shall receive it first. A judicial circuit in this context encompasses the circuit court of appeals, the federal district courts, bankruptcy courts, state courts, and other tribunals from which the Supreme Court may hear appeals. I am not sure of the pertinence in original-jurisdiction cases. For this order to have relevance, someone must bring a lawsuit to a lower court, which then must rule on that lawsuit; a party to the lawsuit then can appeal to the Supreme Court, at which time the named justice will conduct an initial review of the case and refer it to the full court. The named justice in some cases upon request can issue an emergency order or stay while seeking the input of the other justices.
Our Twitter commentator apparently thinks that if an election-related lawsuit reaches the Supreme Court, then it will find a relatively slightly more favorable audience with the assigned justice. This favorable treatment may result in a marginally greater chance of the Supreme Court accepting such an appeal. It perhaps may increase the chances marginally of a temporary emergency stay, but the justice for the circuit probably will not act without the concurrence of other justices on the court in a dramatic political case.
Kathleen Harris--the Florida SOS during the Florida recount in 2000--certified the votes making Bush the winner of Florida... however, the Florida Supreme Court overturned the certification... nothing is a done deal until it is...
