I think the above is the Trump team's strongest argument for taking our time to do a careful audit of a few sample / questionable precincts. As Steve Bannon likes to regularly say, "What's your rush, Dems?....." Yes, it only requires careful and multi-party recounting of a few precincts. Maybe about 10,000 ballots total. That could easily verify some of the machine algorithm bias claims.
Here in Virginia the recount rules require complete recounting and complete agreement among multiple counters. Without counting by multiple parties the counting is worthless because the other party observers can't catch the mistakes, especially at a distance.

I helped with a ballot recount (local race) a couple years back. It was interesting. Very carefully monitored with several stakeholders at each table, counting votes, and duplicating each others' work to confirm all were in agreement on the vote totals being tabulated. Town's moderator was there along with assorted town officials and the LEOs.
Small towns know how to do things right.
Of course an "audit" is more than just a recount. But I got some good experience. :)
