And that may be exactly what we need. Americans as a whole have become addicted to convenience and creature-comforts. Too much prosperity and ease for too long have turned us soft.
If we can win the hard fight ahead, we may regain the right to rank ourselves with the brave souls who stormed the Normandy beaches on D-Day. Not a bad thing, IMHO.
