Trump-Appointed Judge Rejects Lin Wood’s ‘Creative’ Election Lawsuit in Georgia

A federal judge appointed by President Donald Trump rejected what he called a “creative” lawsuit on Thursday. It was a suit that Georgia’s assistant attorney general warned would cause the Peach State’s largest disenfranchisement since the Jim Crow era.

“To halt the certification at literally the 11th hour would breed confusion and disenfranchisement that I find have no basis in fact and law,” U.S. District Judge Steven Grimberg declared at the end of a roughly two-and-a-half hour hearing.

The celebrity attorney making the breathtaking request was L. Lin Wood, Jr., who also represented former U.S. Congressman Gary Condit and the alleged victim in the Kobe Bryant case. Wood has also represented Nicholas Sandmann and JonBenét Ramsey’s family. Wood currently represents Kyle Rittenhouse and Marjorie Taylor Greene.

While Wood sued in his capacity as an average Georgia voter, the judge made clear that this did not give the lawyer a basis to sue.

“There is no doubt that the right to vote, even an individual’s right to vote is sacrosanct,” Judge Grimberg added, adding that this “doesn’t mean that individual voters have the right to dictate” the manner in which that vote is counted.

Give money to the Senate campaign in Georgia, stop wasting time on the last, lost, battle.

Uh, why? You never-Trump republicans are absolutely delusional because you think the fraud machine won't be used on you when it already is.

You are also operating on the delusion that millions of Trump voters are ever going to show up to an election again giving what you did to them.

My understanding is that lawsuits can be heard before Dec 14. Wood did file an amendment to his 11/13 filing for due process considering the time constraints. Trump’s legal team said that they are also going to be filing lawsuits in GA

Powell warned states they had better rethink certifying fraudulent votes.

The GOP is desperate to just move on and cut Trump loose. All these happy stories about almost winning the house and not losing the senate are the GOP efforts to convince their voters to just accept the fraud. They fail to realize that if they don’t confront the fraud now they may never get the chance.

There is a very real danger 2016 was the last real presidential election and that was an accident.

There is a very real danger this is the last real set of statewide elections.

The GOP should be doing everything they can to help Trump stop the fraud, not standing back in the hope that he fails.

There is no path to overturning the 2020 election. Trump was president and allowed the fraud to happen under his watch. It's not all his fault because he never had the executive branch fully under control, and the swamp continually undercut him. The best hope at this point is making changes to prevent fraud in the next election. Florida is a good example of a state that had their election under control. Fixating on the 2020 loss, which can't be changed, is just costing attention that could be spent winning in Georgia, redistricting, winning in 2022, and winning in 2024.

Here is a scenario for those that aren't taking the Georgia senate elections seriously. Dems win both seats, pack the supreme court, then have the court declare gerrymandering unconstitutional and Dems take a 100 seat majority in the house after the courts redraw boundaries. Puerto Rico and DC are made states giving dems a long term majority in the Senate. That's the looming disaster.
