Special Operations Leader to Report Directly to Acting Defense Secretary
The Department of Defense Official Website ^ | 11/18/2020 | Dave Vergun

The Defense Department today started the process of elevating special operations forces on par with military departments per authority from the 2017 National Defense Authorization Act, according to the acting defense secretary.

Christopher C. Miller directed the assistant secretary of defense for special operations/low-intensity conflict to report directly to him. His announcement was made today to troops at Fort Bragg, N.C.

"This reform will immediately improve agility to the department and the command and will enable us to streamline information flow, enhance decision making, and more adaptively and adeptly support our commanders and their superb soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines," he said.

I searched for this news, and found a twitter inspired conversation, so I decided to post this, as the source is, well the proper source for this information.

Ok, anyone believe in coincidences? Like Esper getting fired and now SOCOM reports directly to the acting Secretary of Defense, who, having just been installed by Trump and would presumably be loyal to Trump.

Am I correct in presuming that SOCOM can deploy not just the SEALS and Delta, but also 75th, 82nd, and 101st airborne divisions. I'd think the ranger qualified 10th Mountain division likely is part of the SOCOM umbrella. God only knows how many special operations units exist in the Marines and Air Force, but I'd assume that SOCOM, with the Secretary's blessing could bring under the SOCOM umbrella any and all assets needed. Would that be a correct presumption?

Are we entering a period of palace intrigue, such that when the truth comes out about how foreign countries interfered in our elections, via the rigged electronic voting machines, the President can bring all those to justice. NB: The word Assume, nor any of it's variants were used in this posting

The idea of a separate service for the Special Forces is as old as John Kennedy’s Presidency.

To tie with the 9/2018 EO and State of Emergency for election interference by foreign entities? Two arms of The Kraken?

If the elections EO/SoE and SpecOps move are two of The Kraken’s tentacles, what are some of the other six tentacles? God? EOs? AG Barr? Giuliani?

Makes it harder for an individual unit under the SOCOM umbrella to be placed under a temporary command by the CIA for a less than official activity. Considering the junk that the media advertised about keeping POTUS out of the loop about US forces in Syria, I think it’s a reasonable ask.

I think perhaps we are seeing a strategic surprise being sprung. If so the next logical step is taking advantage of the surprise to change facts on the ground.

Our ground.

It appears Trump’s mystery man is going to be the civilian in charge.

this should have been on Wednesday at the Global Security Forum where Trump National Security Adviser, Robert O’Brien, made headlines worldwide this week by agreeing Biden could win:

Global Security Forum Agenda (Soufan Center)
(scroll down) Day 3 Wednesday, 18 November
Theme: The impact of disinformation & the evolving nature of the global information environment
10 a.m. EST: Fireside Chat “Foreign interference and election meddline” with Director ***CHRISTOPHER C. KREBS, Director of Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and moderated by Kevin Baron, Executive, Defense One.
https://globalsecurityforum.com/agenda/

INSTEAD THEY GOT THE SUBSTITUTE - BRENNAN:

3h05m15s to 3h33m57s: NEXT: Fireside Chat: Foreign interferene and Election, John Brennan, former director, CIA with Kevin Baron, Executive Editor, Defense One
Baron, Defense One(paraphrasing): second SUBSTITUTE analyst, John Brennan, because of Krebs’ firing last night. Baron: initial reaction re firing, echoes of Watergate, silence any opposition.

will let others critique what Brennan had to say!

FROM THE SAME VIDEO ABOVE: the second substitute for KREBS at Global Security Forum.

VIDEO: 2:34:08 to 3:00:20 NEXT: Renewing American Leadership: Gen. John R. Allen (Ret), President The Brookings Institution, with Kevin Baron, Defense One.
(paraphrasing) Baron: late scheduling, due to firing of Chris Krebs. we wish him well. incoming Biden admin etc. partial withdrawals from Afghanistan & Iraq - how possible is that, in a safe way, to do?
Allen: these decisions are being made truly in the 59th minute to midnight(sic) in this admin; I think election is settled in most everyone’s minds, except a few folks. what does this mean for NATO & our NATO allies? did we confer with them? my guess is we didn’t. what does it mean for defense contractors, NGOs. CHINA. opportunities for Biden. can’t just be confrontation; we can co-operate on climate change, for instance. Allen ends with best wishes to KREBS for his moral courage in taking a stand.

Double Bingo!

Also goes to more formally globally informed CIC.

We absolutely have a problem, with rogue, anti-American, leftist, globally aligned, “company”, and other IC actors.

And the vast majority of American voters, (who are obviously yet still too independent minded for the global socialist totalitarians to seize control of), have in reality, once again voted for the greatest obstacle and threat to their long fought leftist globalist slavery scheme.

Yah, if liberty and America have any chance at all, these orders need to be rigidly exercised, with prejudice.

“Christopher C. Miller directed the assistant secretary of defense for special operations/low-intensity conflict to report directly to him. “

If Miller was ordered to report to SecDef who was he reporting too before?

You're talking about Ezra Cohen-Watnick. He's a patriot.

And your answer is here ---> Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict

Of interest

How a modern battalion of Army Rangers would perform in Civil War combat

Posted On April 02, 2018 09:37:58

"Rangers who suddenly found themselves at the start of a Civil War battlefield would be able to choose a side and then straight up murder enemy skirmishers. Most Civil War battles opened with small groups of skirmishers taking careful, aimed shots at one another. Rangers equipped with SCAR rifles that can effectively fire up to 800 meters or M4s that are effective past 600 meters would have a greater range than most of their enemies. And the Rangers’ ability to fire dozens of rounds per minute vs. the enemy’s four rounds would be decisive. "

One of the reasons to fear the Kraken is that it has has many tentacles as it needs for a given situation: 4, 6, 8, 100 or more

Why do so many people accept the result of an obviously fraudulent election as fact and act as if nothing significant happened?

But previously the various ops reported to their branch command and not the unified command except under certain circumstances. So this brings all spec ops under a single command instead of the command that reports to pentagon. Now gies right to sec of def. Like almost a seperate branch. Does that make sense? Thats my understanding. Whereas before Seals for instance would report to naval command. Someone correct me if Im wrong.
