More and more I’m thinking the CCP is committed to storming Taiwan, just like they’ve always wanted, and they’re watching our “electoral confusion” with intense interest.
If Trump pulls through, they’ll keep waiting. After whacking Syria with cruise missiles, Donald got the attention of a lot of world leaders.
But should the Reds get their fondest wish and “Their Boy” Joey gains the White House, then Taiwan is toast. Gone. They own Biden and everybody knows it. Biden would issue the “stand down” without batting an eye.
China knows that even in a straight-up fight against Taiwan alone they’d lose a lot of troops and material. Crossing the straight would be more difficult that the cross-channel invasion in WW2 and they have far less shipping available. They might win, but they’d get mauled in the process. Even if they can discount a Biden-led USA, they still have to account for what Japan & India might do.
