Yea, threatening to destroy the court *before* they were in power was probably a bad move. Perhaps they didn’t really think they would have to go so over the top with their fraud that the election would end up in SCOTUS.
Hell, you might even pull over someone like Kagan if the legitimacy and survival of the judicial branch is at stake.
Assuming the election matter goes before the USSC this will be a defining moment for the country. Some on the Court have to recognize this and its implications. If they tolerate widescale voter fraud and lack of transparency we’ll know its game over for the USA.
However, the decision will be so profoundly impactful to the country as a whole its hard to imagine the Court knowingly enabling the radical transformation of the country. In other words, I think they will realize it’s not just about Trump and will do the right thing. Hopefully.
