They claim supermarket home deliveries are more risky than visiting a shop in person.

Why would home delivery be more risky? In the grocery store, we encounter a zillion people.

We have home delivery and never see the delivery person. They leave groceries outside on the doorsteps, then I wipe everything down with clorox/lysol wipes before bringing stuff into the house.

Possibly formite contract from people not disinfecting the goods before handling and storing goods (infectious virus has been found to survive in the fridge and freezer food). But if one is as careful as you, you'd think pickup/delivery would be less of a risk.
