If all they’re doing is running the ballots back through the same (fraud-ridden) tabulating equipment again, then why would anyone expect a different result, even though the result is wrong? If the machine is, as alleged, altering the count between when the ballots are scanned and when it outputs supposed totals, then a machine recount would presumably just apply the same fraud algorithm and skew the results in exactly the same way it did the first time. A machine recount when the machine itself is suspected of being rigged is idiotic.
At the very least, a full hand recount must be done, or far better an audit of the entire process.
