My ship was stationed in Norfolk in the late 60’s. I took the Granby St. bus from the DESRON piers into town, and played pool at St. Elmo’s Billiards. Got to shake hands with Wimpy Lassiter. He was careful, and shook with his left hand.
That’s pretty cool. That downtown area has really been revitalized. Rush appeared at Waterside which is right on the harbor. It wasn’t there in the 60’s.
