The former chief interrogator and top torturer for Cambodia's genocidal Khmer Rouge regime died early Wednesday in hospital in Phnom Penh. He was 77.Kaing Guek Eav, better known by his alias Duch, had served as the head of the infamous Tuol Sleng prison and was later convicted of crimes against humanity by a UN-backed war crimes tribunal for his role in the "Killing Fields" regime.

Plugs the Pedo will lower the flags in his honor.
Duch eventually became a Christian and repented of what he did.
No tyrant deserves a natural death.
Bkmk.
What source was that?
I also heard that in a documentary. He pled guilty at his trial.
Khmer Rouge killed about quarter of the population.
For that genocide only three (3)! were punished.
They were marxists, of course that’s makes genocide justified.
Was it a long, painful death, or was it quick and easy?
I did not.
Thank you for posting it.
Where, what source? Getting in through the back door?
How did they keep his head alive for all these years?
(Sorry, just a dig at the title)
Sad that this guy lived to the age of 77. They did unspeakable things to people.
From Wikipedia:
Shortly after his wife’s murder, Duch began attending the prayer meetings of the Golden West Cambodian Christian Church held in Battambang by Christopher LaPel, an evangelical Khmer-American. Duch was baptized by LaPel and eventually became a lay pastor. LaPel was later to observe that although he did not know Duch’s real identity at the time, there were clues. For example, before his conversion, Duch had said to LaPel that he had done a lot of bad things in his life. Later, Duch was to say, “I dont know if my brothers and sisters can forgive the sins I’ve committed against the people”.
Despite Wikipedia being of questionable reliability, I believe this part.
Chomsky will be devastated
Confirmed on multiple sources. He had repented in the courtroom and accepted responsibility, and asked for the most severe punishment, in this case life. He has left his sins at the Cross. As must we all.

No.
Irrelevant. Hes still evil and rotting in hell.
Not so. If you accept the existence of hell, heaven and God as he is portrayed in the Bible then you know that God can forgive sins, no matter how severe they may be. And He will do so for a true believer. Based on the testimony of the missionary mentioned, his acceptance of responsibility and remorse for the crimes he authored and acceptance of whatever punishment the court gave him (life without parole), I believe his transformation was genuine. One of the thieves who was crucified along with Jesus was saved by his remorse and his acceptance of Jesus as Lord as he was dying on the cross, despite his evil life up to that point. That God would do such a thing for someone who had lived an evil life shows how much He wants us to be with him eternally.
It also highlights the difference between fairness, which is a human concept, and justice, which is a divine concept. In all fairness, he should be rotting in hell. But God’s justice will be done and He will not send someone to hell if their transformation is genuine.
