“Trumpism without Trump” is what America needs in four years, said conservative author Ann Coulter during a lecture at the University of Texas at Austin on Thursday night hosted by the university’s Young Conservatives of Texas.
In a wide-ranging speech that reached far beyond the event’s proposed topic of immigration, the political commentator explained to a socially-distanced crowd of 97 people why she believes the 2020 U.S. presidential election has produced “the best of all possible outcomes” for conservatives.
“The reason I’m very happy that [President] Trump lost – and lost narrowly – is that a second term of Trump would have killed us,” Coulter said.
“What we want, and what I think we can get in four years, is Trumpism without Trump,” she said.
Coulter defined “Trumpism” as America taking care of its own people first.
“The left behind, the working class, the middle class — they want jobs, they want safe neighborhoods. They don’t want to have to keep paying taxes for English as a Second Language classes and to pay for emergency rooms with a lot of illegal immigrants coming in with many … health problems,” she said.
“We have to take care of our own first. That’s Trumpism. And it hasn’t been tried. It certainly hasn’t triumphed,” Coulter opined.
“[W]ith Trump … He’d say these wild things that we’d get blamed for, he’d get attacked on, and then actually did nothing,” she explained.
“Trump thinks, ‘I tweeted it. Therefore, it’s done’,” Coulter said.
“It’s ironic … that he lost this election, very possibly because of cheating. Democrats cheat all the time. … Trump has been talking about ‘mail-in ballots are dangerous, they’re gonna steal this election.’ He’s been talking about it … probably all year,” she said.
“Talking about it isn’t the same as doing it,”

I will say and be prepared to take the lumps that I think I’m the only one living in reality and I usually like Coulter’s observations and articles. But there isn’t going to be another 4 years.
I’m tired of hearing the talk shows talk about the Dem’s desire to pack the court. Why in the f*ck would they need to pack the court if they win? Did they not say, Harris and Biden, that they are going to legalize and make citizens millions of illegal aliens? I think the number CornPop used was 11,000,000. I’m thinking that number is north of 20,000,000, at least. And then all the refugees, asylum seekers, visa holders, et al and then number goes higher. And then, and then, we have the fun of dealing with a tsunami’s of the 3rd world showing up everywhere and anywhere....... One by one, Republican’s will lose every office in the country. The Left will target an area, flood it with the 3rd world that is allowed to vote and, in the words of Carl Spackler....that’s all she wrote.
As for the court, if they get Ossoff and Warnock(which is a possibility considering right now the deep pockets of the Left are apparently financing Dem’s to move to Georgia, register before the deadline in December) they’ll SUCCESSFULLY impeach Barrett, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch and Alito. Thomas is old enough he’ll bounce knowing that resistance is futile, lest he meet the same fate as Justice Scalia. Then it’s 9-0 forever.
Only three things can stop this....
1. President Donald J Trump pulling this off and snatching this from Harris/Biden.
2. Guys with guns...IE the Battle of Athens.
3. Before a total wave of humanity infects every corner of the country, the Southern-Midwestern-Mountain states secede. A Russian economist has already predicted the country breaking up, now doesn’t seem like a bad time for it to happen.
Nobody has the audacity of Trump.
He didn’t need this. He had the perfect life: Wealth, Fame, everybody loved him. And he gave it up. He took those arrows for you, Ann. Nobody else did, nobody had the balls to.
So, a simple “Thank You, Mr. President”, would suffice.

Let’s learn from the Reagan Revolution. Nobody in the GOP carried that torch after The Gipper was out of the picture. The same may likely be the case with this Trumpism Coulter hopes will survive The Donald.
There is no Trumpism without Trump. Name one person who could pull it off.
If the steal goes through the GOP will use Trump’s success with Hispanic voters to push through amnesty. Safely out of power the GOP can “adopt” Trumpism without having to actually deliver it.
We saw this movie before with Obamacare. They ran on repealing it for many years and then when it came time to repeal it the GOP campaigned for a progressive Democrat who ended up being the deciding vote to keep Obamacare when McCain flipped.
You nailed it.
Trump will never give up. If it has to be another four years, then so be it. There’s a lot that can be accomplished in the mean time. Getting the House, capturing Governorship and State Houses, and completing the transformation of the GOP.
And you’re going to need Trump to galvanize people to make that happen. Whether in the White House or out of it.

I do not get it. I have always admired Trump from the time I was living in NYC, In the early 80’s, in my father’s native town, 2nd gen Irish New Yorker.
Trump was Building, renovating, working with the local government to get things done. Page 6 loved him - The wives, etc. Whatever. What he was doing was a lot.
Over the years he’d talk to hannity, stern, savage, I knew what he was thinking on a public scale. He loved this country like he loved New York. He wanted to build. To make it better. When he ran in 2015 I knew he would win (I’m on emrecord here) he was not only a winner he loved this country wanted to help- to make it better
I do not know why people hate him. Even family and friends. I do not engage in these discussions with them I get nowhere
Unsolved mystery. Why do they hate him. Why would Ann Coulter hate Donald Trump.
I don’t care, but it is a mystery.
Dream on, Ann. Rember all those rallies with thousands of Americans chanting their love for Trump? Nothing has changed.
