There was a video report that as identified and identifiable ballots were received, the workers couldn’t work fast enough to separate the ballots from the envelopes. Then, lickety-split, the envelopes were trashed, and ballots co-mingled with the legal ones.

Maybe this is based on a different question under the law, but I thought that the PA supreme court already overrode the legislative - and that question may end up in the USSC as Alito said "keep the late ballots separate".

No doubt, but this will lead to part two of Trump’s plan.
If it can be shown that the co-mingled ballots amount to more than the difference between the candidates (and it certainly does), then Trump can argue that the entire election in the state is so corrupted it must be invalidated.
The choice is:
1. Do you cancel a couple of million valid votes in the state, because someone dumped 100,000 invalid votes into the pool?
2. Do you allow 100,000 invalid votes to stand, thus potentially swinging the election (and making a joke of the election).
I think the law is on the side of #1, but I’m not sure a judge would be. Invalidating a state’s presidential election is a pretty big step for a judge.

You know damned well that is what they did.
They might have a few dozen that they will very ceremoniously toss. And those will be Trump votes.
