Being a veteran does not make you a better person.
But being a veteran AND a COVID survivor, like me, does.
How do you know?
Perhaps not,but it does demonstrate willingness to put the liberties of fellow countrymen and defense of the state ahead of themselves. It used to be understood as a basic tenet of citizenship, now it’s an anomaly.
