Vice President Pence is headed to Florida for a personal trip as President Trump refuses to concede the election several days after Joe Biden was projected to be the president-elect.
Pence will leave Tuesday for Sanibel, an island near Fort Meyers, where he has vacationed before. A Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) advisory indicated the vice president would be there through Saturday.
Spokespeople for Pence did not respond to requests for comment about whether the vacation was planned prior to the election.
Pence has remained largely out of the public eye since appearing alongside Trump early Wednesday morning, where the president falsely claimed he had won the election. In the time since, Trump and some allies have alleged without evidence that widespread voter fraud is to blame for why Biden is leading in several battleground states.

The next time Trump is asked about conceding he should respond with something like, “I am taking Hillary’s advice and not conceding.”

Pence has never been loud. He’s the guy calmly telling everyone to please exit the theater in an orderly fashion when the building is on fire. He’s well practiced, always in control of his emotions, and he’ll never visibly crack under pressure. You cannot shake that man. Precisely why there were no fireworks at the VP debate: he’s not going to take bait, he’s going to remain on message and on target no matter what’s taking place around him.
Yeah, Pence is going on a vacation.

I just saw Pence, on a news clip, yesterday...saying they’re not giving in, because every legal vote hasn’t been counted.
He’s still sending me fundraising emails.
