Trump’s Vote-Count Lawsuits: The Election Endgame
National Review ^ | November 9, 2020 | Andrew C. McCarthy

Posted on 11/09/2020 11:41:58 AM PST by karpov

President Trump’s campaign is vowing to file lawsuits challenging the results of the 2020 election in several key states. Ground zero for litigation is Pennsylvania. Rudy Giuliani, representing the president and the campaign, held a press conference in Philadelphia on Saturday, adumbrating the lawsuits he plans to begin filing today.

To call this an uphill battle understates the matter. At the moment, presumptive President-elect Biden is computed to be ahead in the electoral vote, 290 to 214. Three states have not yet been “called” (I’ll address what I mean by that shortly): Georgia (16 electoral votes) leaning Biden, and North Carolina (15) and Alaska (three) leaning Trump. That is a probable final “call” of 306 to 232 — ironically, as many have observed, the same total the president won by in 2016. Contrary to what he has claimed ever since, that is no landslide. It is, however, a commanding lead. He would need to flip Pennsylvania, where Biden leads by about 46,000 votes, plus at least two other states — the plausible candidates would seem to be Georgia, Arizona, and Wisconsin, where Trump is currently behind by less than one percent — respectively, 10,000, 17,000, and 20,000. The Trump camp also complains about voter fraud in Michigan, but he trails by over two percent (146,000) there.

close, we are talking about the need to shift tens of thousands of votes — I’d estimate at least 80,000

We’ve seen the video of news coverage where more than 19k votes instantly disappear from Trump’s column and the same exact number appear in Biden’s column. That’s almost 40,000 right there.

It is a falsehood to refer to Hiden-Biden as “President elect”.

Trump just tweeted:

"The threshold identification of Ballots is turning out to be even bigger than originally anticipated. A very large number of Ballots are impacted. Stay tuned!"

Was Andrew McCarthy one of the writers of National Review’s “Against Trump” issue?

Andrew McCarthy is part of the problem. While I agree on many things he writes he is weak and unwilling to get down and dirty in a fight as it will wreck his image. His image is more important than these United States of America and what it stands for.

McCarthy is a proverbial “wet blanket” on all things Trumpian ...he spent far too long inside the establishment for him to have any other point of view. Rush calls him his “good buddy” ...I’ve never been that impressed by McCarthy.

Here is the problem. They have to find enough fraudulent ballot “proof” to show a judge that the fraud could have changed the election.

They can come to a judge with 20,000 witnesses that dead people in fact were sent a ballot and voted, but since the margin of victory in Pennsylvania is 46,000 and counting, that won’t be enough.

Now he has to do this in 3 other states because winning Pennsylvania is not enough. He needs Arizona and Georgia too.

People need to look at this with eyes wide open. It’s a hail merry with probably 0.00001% chance of success UNLESS they can find evidence the election was hacked.

That’s the only thing that can change things, a massive hack or software tabulation error switching tens of thousands of Trump votes to Biden.

If they find 100000 out of state residents who voted- would that be a threshold?

Exactly. I think we're setting ourselves up for disappointment here. Was there fraud? Yep. Lots of it, by all counts. Can we ever get the hard, irrefutable proof of "enough" ballots to change the outcome? Unlikely - unless we find something like tens of thousands of votes that should be disqualified because the people are dead, have moved, etc - OR, we have a forensic IT guy find clear evidence that the counting software was modified to load up votes for Biden that never existed in paper form. THOSE are the angles I'd go after..not the onsey-twosey reports of people not being able to vote because they "already voted" and stuff like that..

Yes, they need to show a judge the fraud can change the election results. 100,000 would do it in Pennsylvania.

The path of least resistance is probably Wisconsin, Arizona, and Georgia right now.

It’s probably going to be Biden +20,000 in Wisconsin, Biden +10,000 in Georgia and Arizona when all is said and done.

That gets Trump to 269 tie and a House vote. Margins in Penn and Michigan are probably way too high.
