I’m for similar for robbers here.
While I was TDY to Incerlik, Turkey, one of the supply locations we had for common supplies was right next to one the Turkish military used for the same purpose.
There was a problem with theft at each one as the people there were hungry and had trouble with essentials to stay alive. It was never a large amount, just an inventory nuisance. But the Turks didn’t look at it that way.
They caught two of them, skinned them, and hung them up next to the entrance of their supply ordinance compound. They left them up there for a couple of weeks till we finally got them to take them down because of the smell. But they didn’t have any more thefts.

We have become a truly sick society.
They’ll think twice before stealing again unlike US criminals who get free passes.
