conservatives ditched Fox News for Newsmax TV’s election coverage in droves. On Election Night, celebrities, political pundits in the White House, and staunch Fox fans tuned into Newsmax TV to get their election news, more proof of the meteoric rise in popularity of Newsmax TV.
Many began flipping the channel after Fox News called Arizona for Democrat Joe Biden. According to Newsweek, Fox was the only network at the time to show the state going to Biden. Newsmax was the first major news network to project Florida for Trump.
Newsmax TV was even playing in the White House on election night. “We’ve got [Newsmax] on every single TV right there,” special assistant to the president Andrew Giuliani told Newsmax TV Tuesday night from the White House lawn. He pointed out that Fox News had yet to give the state of Florida to Trump, something Newsmax had already done.
Grammy-award winning country singer Travis Tritt was one Fox News viewer who made the switch to Newsmax – and he let his huge fan base know and they agreed. As the results were unfolding, he tweeted to his army of followers: “No matter what the final results are tonight, one thing is extremely clear @FoxNews can no longer claim to be the fair and balanced network they once were. There are a lot of biased hacks there now and a ton of folks are noticing. It’s now @newsmax for me for election results.”

FOX also, early on Tuesday evening, called the house, with democrats keeping the house, with 5 new members added. The next day, it turned out that, it was the republicans who had picked taken away 5 seats from the democrats, making the democrats majority a bit smaller.
FOX doesn’t talk about that, and they also won’t take back calling Arizona prematurely.
I’m looking for some new conservative channel, and OAN seems to be it. I can’t find Newsmax on my Spectrum list of channels.
Network news was dead to me after Ronald Reagan’s first win. Fox is dead to me about 7pm central time election night.

Newsmax is less “professional” than Fox News, but Fox News is dead to me. I feel like they shat on conservatives and I won’t forgive or forget.

I remember this debate. I was horrified. I detested Mike Wallace after this.
PBS had intellectually stimulating shows in those days.

Since FOX is known (or was known) as the balance against the liberal networks...
why didn’t FOX select a conservative to do their Sunday morning political talk show on the FOX network? They chose Wallace, mostly because of name recognition, but still very liberal.
I remember the Marine Colonels retort as if it were yesterday. I feel utter contempt for MSM, especially FNC.
Fox News is dead to me. I have not once checked their website on my phone or computer since election night. I cannot tell you how outraged their call on AZ and their refusal to call Florida made me. I am also angry that they did not question the numbers in the contested swing states in comparison to others.
They are dishonest. Period.
I will still watch Lou Dobbs, Tucker, and Ingraham on youtube. I may watch Watter’s world, Justice, and will ALWAYS watch Maria B (my favorite) on Sunday. Other than that, I am done with them.
They despise us.

It’s an unforgivable sin in my book. It’s why I could never watch Laura Ingraham or Sean Hannity. OAN election coverage hosts were just as bad.
Television hosts need to learn not to interrupt the other panelists. I understand moving the conversation forward and being energized but it’s not a conversation when everyone is talking at once. It’s a cacophony of voices.
For now I have blocked it out of my direct TV so we cannot even accidentally tune them in. We are looking to have Fox removed from out direct TV package completely.
Never again.
We’re moving next week and definitely cutting the cable cord after this debacle. I only kept it for Fox News and college football. I can find other ways to watch Tucker. Fox has clearly told us they don’t GAF anymore. Let’s see them survive with half their viewers.

I’m going cold Turkey. Not watching any of them even on YouTube. I think youtube gives them some rating points and the advertisements are included. I don’t want to encourage anybody to give Fox their advertising dollars. But that’s just me. My conscience is important to me. (my tagline spells it out)
I can respect that. My wife and I cancelled Netflix and Disney much to the disgust of our teenagers out of principle.
I really like Tucker, Jeanine, Ingraham, Hannity (although he is often unwatchable for interruptions), Gutfeld, Dobbs, and Maria B. They are all under contract to Fox.
I really think Trump is going to start a news network after he leaves the White House be it now or in 4 years (please). At that point you add in some other conservative media types and it would be a winner. Call it MAGA News and win.

Not just for election coverage. This conservative, who has been threatening to leave Fox, has now left them. Will miss a few personalities but will use Newsmax for virtually everything.
Newsmax also has an Android TV app that can be downloaded for free from Google Play.

Past few days watch them also, but I like a few of their head broadcasters. I’m not enamored with Spicer and that adds (repetitively) of medicare advantage plans a bore....Also repeat of repeat programs are a gag. I agree though Fox is now a no no in my home.
