Former presidential candidate Andrew Yang offered a warning to his fellow Democrats this week following his underwhelming performance in the 2020 primaries.
While Joe Biden appeared to be inching his way toward 270 electoral votes -- potentially denying President Trump a second term -- many of the down-ballot Democratic candidates were not nearly as successful.
Results from Tuesday's election suggested the party likely failed to win control of the Senate and actually lost several House seats while maintaining a majority.

The chinaman is now an expert that can go by the title ‘former Presidential candidate’.
That is because they ARE, Wanger!!!!!
They are!!
Yes, and you are one of those coastal elites, Mr. Yang.
Trump lost ground with white working class workers. He did prison reform (which most working class folks see as turning more criminals loose in their neighborhoods), he promised blacks and Hispanics millions of dollars for their concerns, and didn’t talk about illegal immigration nearly as much as he did in 2016. Working class whites are starting to feel they are being disregarded once again.
Yang has never been one of the Intersectionalist wackos has he?
So I guess they’d prefer “Made in China” then?
Yang is Mr. Obvious.
you’re full of it....TRUMP is the only one FOR the middle class, the working class....
No, I think many who were energized by what Trump promised to be for them in 2016 saw him pandering to minorities and gave up. Trump had garnered a lot of support from people who never paid attention to politics and probably rarely voted until he came along. They didn’t hear him offering much to them.
I was a political science major in college.
I am a policy geek.
I love discussing demographics and election results.
The problem is—there has been such massive fraud in this election that is _absurd_ to discuss these other topics.
It is like measuring with a ruler that looks like a bowl of spaghetti.
You’re correct, Andrew!
I didn’t say he wasn’t. I said it was the perception of the working class, particularly white men, that Trump was now more concerned with pandering to minorities.
However, isn’t it true that Trump lost some of the white working class voters, especially men, who had voted for him in 2016? I read that those numbers were down.
BS.
I’m just saying what was reported. Trump lost some support in that demographic.
The GOP needs to “pander” to minorities going forward and forever more, because whites die off and shrink every year, and aren’t having babies to replace themselves.
The future is minorities as we will be a majority minority nation soon—CA already is.
I’m white and did my part—I’m married and have 4 kids!
But not everything needs to be seen through the lens of race. The GOP is for the working man, and woman. It’s for everyone actually except bums and rich liberals.
If Trump did lose some white men, I think it’s because they must have REALLY hated Hillary and voted against her in 2016, but didn’t vote for Trump this time—didn’t turn out, maybe.
