It’s not often that I pray and cry but I’ve been doing a lot of that lately.

Begging, pleading, listing all the bad that will come of this, even though I know He knows better than any of us.

I worry that I’m not being heard.

I’m a nobody and nowhere near as good a Christian as so many people here are.

I have only one hope for salvation and that is God’s grace and Christ’s sacrifice.

I have utterly nothing of my own to offer, at all.

I hope He listens to me, anyway.

Remember the prayer of the publican, which was heard by God:

Lord, have mercy on me, a sinner.

In other words, you have a faith that gladdens God’s heart. Humble and learning on Him. Remember that Paul - the greatest teacher of the early church - referred to himself as the greatest of sinners.
