The former Georgia congressman predicted that Trump will trounce Democratic challenger Joe Biden by securing 324 electoral votes during the election contest. Such a win would far exceed the 270 electoral votes a candidate needs to clinch victory.
Trump will have an enormous, almost unimaginable turnout in rural and small town America. Trump will get a much larger share of the black vote than any Republican since 1960. Trump will do surprisingly well with Latinos.

I hope this comes true. I hope Newt arrived at these numbers based on a realistic analysis, as opposed to wishful thinking. We will know soon enough.
It would be nice to have some cushion in the electoral vote, so that if we get into messy recounts or legal issues in PA or some other state, that it won’t affect the outcome overall.
The Trafalgar guy was on one of the Fox shows last night and when asked why the other pollsters were starting to change their predictions, he said “Nate Silver is backing out of his like a cat with a sock on it’s head”.
Had to lol! Nate Silver should have been unemployable after 2016.
Newt predicted the Obama win in 2008 (not that it took a genius to do that), but if he thought Biden would win, he would say it.

I think Nate Silver is giving Trump a 10% chance, where in 2016 he gave Trump a 30% chance.

I’ve always wondered how/why these people keep their jobs and celebrity. Then I realized - their job isn’t to give the truth, and you and I are not their customers or employers. They are paid propagandists. Or if we want to be polite, call them marketers. Their job is to get you to buy, or to act.
Anecdotally, in the Blue water area of Michigan the turn out is several times what it was in previous 2016 election for in person voting. Folks working in local government have said to me that this is a huge turnout.
Yesterday, Bill Still demonstrated how Trump wins. It’s just 2 points off from what Newt came up with. They must be using the same logic.
