Occam’s razor. The GOPe wanted Trump to lose, too. POTUS cost the GOP billions in payola when he sunk TPP, Paris, etc.
I wonder. Perhaps the GOPe reached a Deep State deal. Trump goes, you keep the Senate and get in easy striking distance in the House. We can’t give you the House because Trump losing and the GOP winning both houses would stink to the high heavens.
