As long as people are reasonably comfortable — and entertained — in their daily lives, values like Liberty, freedom, honor and integrity matter little.
That's absolutely right.
"Social justice" has replaced personal morals before God.
The new "God" is "science" (not real science) and the earth/environment.
NextDoor and Facebook have replaced civics.
People drone through their lives all year long then react when the newsfeed on their little screen tells them to get upset, and THEN they head off to the polls, make their little mark, and feel satisfied they've done something. Without really understanding what it is they've chosen.
