CNN is pretty accurate in discussing Pennsylvania’s counting issues. The Republican legislature in PA did not want the mail-in vote counting to start until the morning of election day. That is causing the effect of giving Trump a lead in election day vote in PA that shows up now, but will inevitably be eroded as the more Democrat-heavy mail-ins are counted over the next few DAYS. Philly says it’ll take days. And even Trump 2016 counties in PA have said they aren’t starting counting them until tomorrow. But hard to know if the mail-in vote even in Trump counties is still Democrat-heavy.
The Pennsylvania number is very likely to get significantly worse for Trump before the counting is done.
We have to remember, though, that relative to the other states, PA’s early voting turnout was fairly low.
Sounds like a bunch of malarkey and steal opportunity to me. If they could count them all on election days past, no reason they can’t do so now. Votes not in by close of polls should not count. You can see the networks setting this up based on their handling of things tonight.
