There doesn’t seem to be a verification of the actual scanning with a confirmation that the scan worked. I would think that the scanner would have to be changed to manipulate the votes. The paper is a backup i think retained at the polling place.

I feel like Trump and his team have done the best they can, given the forces arrayed against them. If the Deep State manages to steal a win for Biden, anyway, it was unavoidable - and the tyranny that took over the USA after 9/11 too deeply entrenched. Totals are physically transferred by two people, one from each major party to the courthouse for final tabulation.
It would be difficult to cheat the system electronically - it would require crooked people.
