I think people were chosen this year who are true believers.
The danger is the Elector who has been a Republican for 20 years, served in several Republican administrations, antiseptic credentials.
But is a Never Trumper.
The Electors have to be from Trump’s team. Not just Republicans.
The better solution is state law saying any Elector that does not vote per the state vote constitutes a resignation and must be replaced.
A sickening feeling is spreading among some of the smarter Democrats that they have royally screwed up their election strategy. The plan that seemed so smart, once they realized that COVID was a golden opportunity to distract from President Trump’s massive foreign policy and economic triumphs, is backfiring.
