That revolution in conflict, however, has sparked an urgent new mission for the Pentagon: to defend against the other guy’s drones.

As “unmanned aerial vehicles” become exponentially faster, cheaper, more deadly and more widespread around the globe, U.S. military planners are racing to develop a viable defense for suddenly vulnerable troops, tanks and ships.

One of the funniest things that ever happened to me was I was learning to fly from my buddy who is an Apache helicopter pilot, we’d go flying at lunch time and what the hell, we may as well patrol the border while we are up here...

So, we see these coyotes running pollos up these arroyos, and they are smart and sophisticated, the coyotes are on high ground on radios and calling in the border patrols position to those down low, and suddenly the coyotes are shooting at us from the top of the hill.

Panicking, I’m like They are shooting at us! (on our lunch break) my unflappable buddy says they cant lob a pistol round up at us from there..

And he dives the plane at them and they scatter like scared rabbits and we drove them blind right into the cactus LOL

Do that AI!

OMG! what a lunch break LOL

I wont even tell you what I think of global hawk.

All this stuff is neat stuff and cool tools, but NOTHING beats the human response, jimmy on the spot.

And no amount of technology will stop bloodshed, you wanna fight? lets go

Oddly, do you know where that technology came from?

It was hollywood, actually a company in canada that figured out how to use tech (GPS) the get Arial shots like the director was god hovering in a chair with a camera, then some ashole at L3’s light went on and said let’s buy that company and use this for military purposes.

All brilliant stuff and all evolving but nothing beats the guy how is there

OK I saw the end and he is not selling it, he is panning it.

This stuff is not what people think and it is being designed to harm you but we can fight back.

But dont ever let them fool, you that this stuff will stop bloodshed.

It’s just a new weapon.
