I’m honestly hoping Trump will start to take things seriously with covid once the election is over, when it’s no longer about politics and he doesn’t feel threatened politically by it. Maybe I’m hoping too much ha

I mean at least he won’t be having big rallies anymore so I guess there’s that. And even if he still does nothing maybe he could at least stop publicly denying it and making things worse while we figure it out

More seriously?! Trump acquiescing to the Fauci and Birx BS 15 days to flatten the curve was the most destructive economic self inflicted wound in the history of the world, destroying untold numbers of livelihoods. Setting in motion the most severe restrictions on individual liberty in the history of our nation.

All for a pathogen now proven to be mostly non-virulent for the general population.

Trump almost lost me over that. If there had been a viable alternative, I would have jumped ship then. And you still want him to take more “serious” steps?

You and I live in completely different universes.

I like what Scott Adams says about covid—that actually “leadership” likely has very little to do with the danger of covid to a nation. Other factors are much more important.

We are one of the fattest nations on earth. Obesity (other than age) is highly correlated with bad covid outcomes. We tend to be older also than say Africa (average age 22 or something).

What is needed here is individual responsibility to shed a few pounds, take Vitamin D and zinc, get fresh air and sunshine, and wash hands more often.

Nothing to do with who the president is.
